ABOUT

I completed my honours degree in Physiotherapy at Coventry University in 2004 and joined the NHS as a general physiotherapist at George Eliot Hospital.  I then specialised in neurological physiotherapy in 2011.  I have extensive experience working with patients and their families in the community that have been diagnosed with Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, head injuries, falls and all other neurological conditions as listed further on this page.

I have completed the PD Warrior training course (specialist Parkinson's therapy) in 2016 and have taken part in numerous training courses to gain further knowledge and expertise in the field of neurophysiotherapy.

I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), a registered member of the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN).

I have also completed my certification in manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) at the Lymphoedema Training Academy.  I have been trained in the 'fill and flush' technique which has been developed by Professor AP Belgrado and the Lymphoedema Training Academy.

TESTIMONIALS

After having a brain stem stroke, Jess has helped with my recovery.  Always look forward to seeing Jess and receiving more exercise/challenges.
Thank you Jess for all your help so far, cannot recommend you enough.
                                                                           James (stroke survivor)

I was struggling with a lack of balance and neuropathic pain in my right leg - Jess was recommended by a mutual friend as a physiotherapist who could help.  Covid permitting, Jess has visited every three weeks giving me exercises to improve my situation.  I have found her very dedicated to her profession, and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

Jessica Horton is an excellent neurophysiotherapist.  She is very professional with a nice manner and attitude.  Would highly recommend her.

Anthony (stroke survivor)

We have found Jessica a great help with our son in encouraging him to do his exercises, and seeing him regularly to do physio including stretches, passive and active exercises.  There has been a definite improvement in his range of movement and strength which has impacted his posture, walking and balance.  Worth every penny.  Thank you very much for supporting us and him in our quest to find the best treatment and help against this disease.
